The research for this book involved something of a technology/environmental psychology mashup and since its approach is quite unusual I’m regularly asked for a bibliography of all the resources I used to write it.
It was a long journey which started with an exploration of the history of the internet and ended eight years later with forays into the future of digital well-being. I wish I’d kept a log which mapped out the route and showed how one part led to the next, but the nearest evidence I have is the bibliography. Here it is as it appears in the book. I hope it’s useful to others working in similar areas.
On Monday I’ll write about my 2004 book, Hello World: travels in virtuality, a personal account of my early forays into cyberspace and the precursor of Technobiophilia.
