Transliteracy and the new AHRC Digital Reading Network

wordpress2This week I attended the first meeting of the Steering Group for the AHRC-funded  Digital Reading Network at Bournemouth University. It was fascinating to meet such a range of people working on digital reading, ranging from a specialist on the history of the book to an expert on computational language. I’m sure there’ll be many issues for us to get to grips with over the next 18 months.

I’m there to provide a transliteracy perspective but of course it’s a great opportunity for me to glean new perspectives and weave them into my thinking. If you’re already working on digital reading and transliteracy, I’d love to hear from you.

DRN is managed by Dr Bronwen Thomas and Dr Julia Round. Follow the DRN blog and Twitter stream @onlinereaders1 for updates about research and events.
